Jennifer Betts, APN

  Jennifer Betts is a Psychiatric and Family Nurse Practitioner who join the Middle Tennessee
  Psychiatric Clinic in January 2013. Jennifer is originally from Nashville. She received her first
  undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley where she majored in 
  English and Health Sciences. She returned to Tennessee and received both Bachelor's and
  Master's degrees in Nursing at the University of Tennessee, Health Science Center, in Memphis.
  In Memphis, she practiced as both a Family Nurse Practitioner and as a Psychiatric Nurse
  Practitioner in a variety of settings. Jennifer returned to Nashville in 2004 when she was hired as
  Assistant Professor in the Vanderbilt University Medical School, Department of Psychiatry.
  Following her tenure there, she did psychotherapy and psychotropic medication management at United Neighborhood Health Services, a group of clinics for the medically underserved in the Nashville area. Jennifer sees a wide variety of patient types, including mood disorders, PTSD, psychotic disorders, geriatrics and those with traumatic brain injury.
